What was the project? For the virtual trip project in Spanish, we had to choose a Spanish speaking country to visit. We then had $10,000 to spend on flights, accommodations, food and anything else. We could stay for as long as we had money. We had to include at least three cultural sites and foods, as well as music, words, and phrases.
Why this project? I chose this project because I really liked how it turned out. I had a lot of information and it was a trip I would actually go on if I could. I only ended up using around $3,000 out of the $10,000 I was given, and the trip seemed really fun.
21st Century Skills Used: I used informational skills to gather information about the country I was visiting. I used communication skills to present the project to the class. I used self-directional skills by staying on task and getting the project done.
Growth Demonstrated: I mildly struggled with saying some of the longer Spanish words, but I was fine for the most part. I also worried about making it too long, but I was able to keep it in range.
Areas of Possible Growth: I’d like to get better at saying the names of Spanish landmarks and just improve in learning Spanish in general. Other than that, I think I did pretty good.
