Name of Assignment: Logo Graphic Design Project Subject: Geometry Facilitator/Teacher: Ms. Marsh
Description of Work/Assignment:
In this assignment, we were tasked with creating a logo using either our name or a nickname and terms we use in geometry. We had to use a certain number of these terms throughout the entire project, then label/color-code them and make a key.
Which 21st Century Skill do you feel this assignment addresses, and why?
This assignment really addressed “thinking and problem-solving” for me. I had a pretty hard time deciding which terms and vocabulary I wanted to use on each letter and how I could use all of them.
What are you most proud of from this assignment, and why?
If I had to pick something, it would probably be that I turned it in on time and it looked nice. I don’t think this assignment was my best work, but it wasn’t terrible. I’d do it again if I could to try and make it nicer, but there was just something about it that peeves me a bit.
How did you develop and/or improve upon your 21st Century Skill with this assignment?
The reason I had to try so hard with “thinking and problem-solving” was because there was a challenge that I’m not used to being presented with, so I learned to work around a new problem quickly and semi-efficiently while still making an “A-worthy” project.
What was most difficult about completing this task?
Getting all of the vocabulary and terms in and using them correctly, 100%.
How could you improve this work? If you could start over, what would you do differently?
Again, not quite sure what about my project bothers me, but something about it does, so I think I’d just try it again until it looks better to me.
How does this relate to what you have learned in the past?
I feel like I’ve done a project similar to this back in like, 6th grade, but I could be wrong. Other than that, this seems like a pretty unique project for me.
How can you apply this to future learning?
If I’m given a list of shapes or terms that I have to use a certain number of times for a project like this again, I’ll have a better understanding of how to do it quickly and more efficiently than this first time.
